Too often, a series of smaller poor choices lead to our worst ones. We look back on big mistakes and invariably see a series of more minor preceding missteps. It’s always easier to stay the course by rejecting those tiny deviations early on rather than attempting to right the ship once far off course.

Ponder the path of your feet;

then all your ways will be sure.

Do not swerve to the right or the left;

turn your foot away from evil.
